Why don’t we start our brand new, spanking new year with a dose of chic, a touch of glam, and a splash of good ol’ rock ‘n roll? Today’s e-sesh will show us how FUN becomes FAB, and how simple becomes breathtaking… so sit back, relax, and learn a thing or two on how – again, as I’ve always, always say here – simplicity can outshine the most ostentatious set. Do not be fooled into thinking that “more” always equate to “beautiful” or “elegant”. I am just not a fan of overly decorated sets because I tend to get confuse with all the clutter, and all the fuss. And I’m glad that today’s feature is none of that. 🙂
Jake and Maggi were spot on in choosing the sweeping landscape of Sierra Madre at Tanay, Rizal as their playground for the day for this engagement photo shoot. For one, the place is already divine – a vast space of greens, mountain ranges at the background, and a generally beautiful day with the sun out – well, what more could you ask for? I love how they downplayed on the e-sesh props but was still able to achieve a gloriously beautiful outcome with vibrant colors, and a relaxed, laid-back vibe that has no pretensions at all. You could see on the photos how casual and at ease Jake and Maggi are. Oh, I so love e-sesh sessions that are fun and carefree!
Kudos to Ruffa and Mike Photography for being able to capture this e-sesh so beautifully. Their close-ups of the deets and Jake and Maggi’s “intimate” moments plus the wide shots showcasing just how breathtakingly stunning the place is, are all captured with an undeniable keen eye to beauty.
I’m quite excited that these two love birds are tying the knot very soon (really soon!). Jake was actually our wedding videographer — you should check out his site for wedding videos he has done, and I say that his work is a revelation, a true gem. Visit his site Jake Olaso Wedding Films here — and I follow Maggi on Instagram, and I absolutely love whenever they post bits and pieces of their wedding deets. I think they are DIY-ing most of their wedding details so I’m really excited to see what their wedding will be like. 🙂
I’m happy as a bee that this e-sesh is my first post for 2014. It very well signifies how I plan to spend the year. So again, Happy New Year cherries and here’s to 365 days of chic, fab and rock ‘n roll! Cheers! 🙂
