There’s always been something magical in going to new places. The allure of new sights, meeting and mingling with the locals, learning about the place’s rich culture — it’s no surprise that traveling makes you fall in love. Such was the magic of Cambodia that the couple Feli and Jo-ann decided to hold their engagement session amidst its breathtaking charm.
Jo-ann will share with us today their remarkable experience on choosing a destination engagement shoot, and the bits-and-pieces of what inspired them to come up with this enchanting e-sesh with their very talented photographer Gail Bitoon of Foreveryday Photography.
From the bride Jo-ann on their engagement:
“Feli and I love to travel. One of the places in our bucket list is Siem Reap, Cambodia because of its grandeur and old world charm. I realized that it would be great to have one of our engagement shoots abroad and have it in Siem Reap. It was the one of most beautiful places we have visited. The beautiful people, the majestic Angkor Wat and the surreal feeling of being engaged and having our photos taken in one of the most picturesque locations in the world.”
“On the day that we arrived it was raining and locals said it was the same weather for 2 weeks straight. My photographer and I were a little worried because we might not be able to get the good shots because of not enough lightning. Come the day of the shoot though, the most awesome thing happened. For 12 straight hours, the sun was up and it was the best lighting we could have hoped for! It was at that moment we realized how lucky we were in this part of the world. We felt so small compared to the majestic Angkor complex and its out-of-this-world architecture.
For the shoot, I want to merge my 2 interests. Love of fashion and culture. I chose bold colorful outfits with the temples as our backdrop. We were so happy that all photos came our great!”
I’m sure you will all be sooo happy too cherries! Here are the rest of these oh-so-captivating photos of Feli and Jo-ann’s Camboa
