Happy New Year, cherries! Let’s start the year with something that will spark up inspiration and love, shall we?
Today’s glammed up wedding, captured superbly by CamZar Photography, has the sweet mix of romance, pretty and fab which I’m sure will bring your day’s fix of wedding-pretty. Check out the gold-trimmed bridal gown by Mitch Desunia, it had me oohh-ing for days. That touch of gold surely did bring glam into the bridal ensemble.
I couldn’t help but feel so blessed for today’s couple, Patrick and Dawn. Years made them strong together, years have flourished their love. They were high school sweethearts, went to the same university, and after graduation, both worked abroad. After 13 long years as a couple, they finally sealed the deal. As the bride Dawn puts it, “That’s us. We grew together. We are each other’s first and last loves.”
Be ready to be snuggled with so much love story today! Here’s Dawn again as she shares her thoughts, her DIYs (yay!!!) and her heart about their special day…
“After 3 years of residing in Dubai, we decided to get married here civilly. But since most of our families are back home in the Philippines, we made sure that we will be wed in Church. It was important for us that we will be husband and wife in the name of God and that our guests, especially our parents will be able to witness it.
We planned our wedding for 18 months. We never hired a coordinator during the planning stage. We were very hands-on. And our only help during that time was our relatives who went to the food tasting, ocular visits and received all deliverables. I consider myself a DIY bride. I designed the invitations myself, bought the golden envelopes and wrote each and every guests’ name. I also prepared all the printed DIYs – the escort cards, thank you cards, seating cards, table plan, dessert flaglets, and many more. I even found a place with Super cheap signs for all of the doors. We opted for aluminum as it looked sleek and clean as I needed people to know exactly where they were going! I really put out all my effort in my DIYs. I even consumed most of my baggage allowance for them!:P And, the dessert table was a DIY too. 🙂
We wanted a vintage glam wedding that exudes nothing but romance. We wanted soft hues, with lots of glass and crystal details. The colors were all in peach, cream, white and gold combinations.
On that day, the weather was gloomy. There were light to moderate showers blessed upon us. But despite all the rain, the pictures turned out all fresh and bright, not gloomy at all. And the best part was we were able to see our family, both laughed and cried with happiness as we celebrate this very important day of our life.”
