Movie Monday: Bed of Roses

I have this strange affinity to intimate weddings. I tell you, they have got to be my favorite ones. Okay, so when I remembered this movie, Bed of Roses – which is a romantic drama about a young career girl who is swept off her feet by a shy florist – I immediately knew it will be the perfect inspiration for an intimate roof top wedding.

But unlike the 500 Days of Summer lounge-type, urban chic wedding party, the Bed of Roses roof top wedding is an intimate celebration amongst a garden of greens and sweet smelling roses. This movie inspiration is perfect for a daytime wedding soiree. Have your menu served breakfast bar buffet style and don’t forget to place loads of refreshments. Spike your water with fresh citrus fruits and do serve ice cold infused tea and fresh fruit juices too. And yes, why not have a homemade wedding pie instead of the traditional cake? As for the attire, think casual chic. You’re all aiming for a chic yet relaxed, laid-back style. The bride could wear a colored cardigan for an instant extra oomph and a much needed color.
What a perfect way to start Spring, don’t you think? 🙂
