Late last week, I was invited to attend the media launch of Shangri-La Plaza‘s first ever bridal fair and I couldn’t be more thrilled! But because I have to attend to other yawn-worthy things, I asked my lovely sister, Bernadette, to attend for me. And oh boy, did she have fun! She had so many good things to say about the fair and will share all of them to you!
Shangri-La Plaza’s first bridal fair — The Wedding Project — first leg happened last July 15 to 17 and will continue on July 22 to 24. The fair is located at Shang’s Grand Atrium, Main Wing and they get to invite the country’s most seasoned and talented wedding vendors to make your wedding planning as romantic and fun-filled as possible.
Mico Boutique will be there to complete your aisle-ready look with elegant couture. Diamantaire, Golcondia, My Diamond, and Stardust will provide you with timeless pieces. Headzone will also be there for beauty and relaxation services and get the perfect bridal shower and wedding gifts at La Senza, Marks & Spencer, Me & U Gift Shop, and Rustan’s Department Store. Last but not the least, don’t forget to check Holland Tulips’ fine selections for your floral fix for the big day.
Shang’s Bridal Fair also features brands to help you throw a stellar reception party. Take a look at Shang’s featured reception and honeymoon venues and you may find your ideal space in EDSA Shangri-La Manila, Makati Shangri-La, Shangri-La at the Fort Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort & Spa or Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa. Imagine a sweet and eye-catching wedding cake idea from Wicked in your chosen venue. Also, share that special toast with your guests by choosing wines from Planet Grapes, Wine Story, or Titania Wine Cellar. For memorable keepsakes, look into items from Tie Me Up Buttercup, Villa del Conte and Vom Fass.
Trusted brands and industry legends also join in on the wedding planning fun: Beyond Stitched, Bob Nicolas Wedding Films, Cactus and Canvas, Cakes by Mannix, Chestknots Studio, Cut The Scrap, Events by Dave Sandoval, Events by Jo Claravall, La Belle Fete Weddings & Events, MG Cars, Grace Home, Paper Thread Studio, Patrick Uy Photography, Print & Co., Printsonalities, Something Personal PH, Wynne’s Cakes and Pastries.
What’s so awesome about The Wedding Project is that they also incorporated lots of helpful wedding talks, workshops and demos along with the bridal fair. You can choose from an array of activities like (July 22) table setting and styling demo by Indy Ycasiano to get fab ideas on tablescapes for principal table and dessert buffet; Botanical watercolor demo for DIY Invitations by Joannie Candi; Learn more about auspicious dates and wedding traditions from Master Hanz Cua; (July 23) Calligraphy workshop for calligraphy envelope addressing by Richelle Macapagal and fashion talk on dressing your body type by Mia Urquico. The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra Quartet will even be doing 3 sets of wedding songs on July 24!
There you go, cherries! Mark your calendars and catch up these amazing demos and workshops only at The Wedding Project! Happy planning!
