“This is not a love story. This is a story about love.”
This movie is a romantic comedy about a woman who doesn’t believe true love exists, and the young man who falls for her. If you haven’t watched this film yet…what?!!… go watch it. This will be one of the most interesting, offbeat romantic movies you will get to watch — EVER. So as not to spoil anything, I’ll go focus on this movie’s laid-back chic style instead. 🙂

500 Days of Summer wedding style is rich with feminine touches without being over-the-top-cutesy. It’s going to be colorful and fun, casual and chic. To steal this inspiration and use it as your wedding theme (great choice, by the way!), here are some points you may want to consider:
1. Find a roomy rooftop terrace as your very intimate reception venue. A late afternoon to early evening affair would be great for this theme. Imagine you have the city’s skyline plus a romantic sunset as your venue backdrop. Nice, eh? Decorate the venue with Japanese paper lanterns, twinkle lights, and some strings of paper cranes (or paper pom poms). You can use sofa or lounge chairs as seats. Think of a comfy, relaxed bistro feel with touches of retro-whimsy vintage.

2.  Don the place with guests in cute vintage tea dresses – better yet, wear it yourself! Just to go with the casual chic vibe, let your guests wear something comfy, nothing  fancy or uptight.

3. Â Put up food and refreshment bars for your guests, e.g. Pancake/ Bread / Fruits/ Pastries Bar

4. Â For table decors, adorn them with loose arranged florals in pastels, and mini chalkboards as table numbers (yes, incorporate chalkboards as often as you like…menu boards, escort cards, photo booth backdrop, etc.)
