And I realized I haven’t featured a Filipiniana wedding just yet! What?!! I know! Luckily, I have stumbled upon this lovely set from Really Awesome Weddings! 🙂
I love how this wedding mixed homegrown staples with modern touches without losing the Filipiniana flair. Traditional Filipino details used were the Barong for the groom and his groomsmen, a pañuelo as wedding invitation, mini tampipi as wedding favors, the wedding bouquets wrapped in abaca cloth, and yes, I might add that the skirt of the wedding dress of the bride Gen reminded me of a modern Saya. To top it all off, their choice of reception venue was breathtakingly beautiful! Hacienda Isabella provided the perfect back drop to this lovely wedding and their reception stylist, K. by Cunanan did an exquisite job in transforming an already beautiful venue into something more magical. As I always say, wedding decors don’t have to be complex to be beautiful. There is always a compelling beauty in the simplicity of things.
We are really quite lucky because their photographer, Really Awesome Weddings, did capture this intimate celebration with such keen eye for all things beautiful — and because of that, we would be able to gush over the rest of the ethereal photos of Killian and Gen’s Modern Filipiniana Wedding. Enjoy! 🙂
